Wet

Oh, hot water
shower my head
cascade my curves
I am wet

Ominous

Ominous threads
tie a bow
undone to reveal
no gift at all

Portentous strokes
laid forcefully
careful to touch
an empty soul

Fateful lapses
grift complete
exacting belief
in what will be

Four Lines at a time

When you talk
in your sleep
truths revealed
some are deep

Great fun
will be ours
sit down
we'll talk for hours

If you're my friend
yet I'm your foe
where do we meet
without the woe?

If you're the trouble
and I'm the solution
follow me
for less confusion

Drink your beer
tell your story
reveal it all
leave in the glory

I told her no
well that's not true
I told her yes
and she came through

All the love
that you enhance
you are fine
you like to dance

The Sun has set
I hate to say
my beer is empty
I cannot stay

Snow Creature

The delighted looked on
as snow creature posed
standing small in the cold
with pine bough hair
and pinecone accents
With boobs galore
for tales to tell
Then copious rays
winked hello
to nature's release
Sun kissed
as she melted away

Helpful

So, I said to my friend:

Drink some water
drink your juice
I'll play with you
when you are loose

Pure

Wild is lovely
naughty is nice
Roughed up innate
slips to the edge
Luxuriant will
sweetly whispers
come here

Gone

October settles
September's truth
Plunged into want
so long ago
She died and left me
Intentionally gone
parted, left wounded
as if to say
I don't matter
not in a way
as if unworthy
when doubt, courage
and sanity control Id
as demands the soul

Loose

Just want to hang loose
at the edge of the morning
becoming day
watching shimmering reflections
of sunshine over water
glistening, bouncing
pushing waves floating sailboats
under cirrus clouds
of wispy, suspended vapor
as leaves degreen
into amber and crimson
cool, crisp air forcing change
with winds
yearning to blow me away

Forest

A hike deep into the woods
you stay as if blown there
as a seed
as the song from a bird
and wind through your hair
an alluring passion
to linger forever
like a forest flower
who could never be lost
only found

Run Wild

"I want to run wild, just far enough to reach a good time."
- Jenny

for Far

Run wild
far enough
view to trust
yet near enough
attention teased
dismissed, appeased
no particular direction
or thrust
the meadow sings
flowers sublime
barriers known
rendered fucking oblivious
salubriously fine

Four Liners from the beer garden

You're an asshole
all the way
a creep de jour
you can't stay

My rings are gold
and silver pure
worn middle finger
to show no fear

Have a girlfriend
her name unknown
I call her eM
for mmm profound

We can lift
the heaviest weight
our burdens known
will have to wait

I like that bar
that lovely girl
who brought me beer
when I said please

Not every poem
has to rhyme
when words lay down
I use them

Came to the conclusion
you're full of illusion
of truth profound
as life is a noun

Were on
then gone
then on
then gone

I'll tell a tale
adventure pure
with light and love
the truth secure

I can see
I can guess
I can feel
I can stress

Leather cotton
wool velour
layers warm
even fur

The train went by
you weren't on it
I waited for you
wore my best bonnet

More Four Liners from the deck

Pen in hand
I wrote to you
a sonnet down
sentiment new

We left together
and stayed nearby
I felt your vibes
we played till high

I licked the foam
from the beer
declared, "you're next."
enjoyed good cheer

All the time
I feel you near
so far away
I know the cure

Hello sunshine
I like your shirt
golden yellow
I like to flirt

Late summer Sun
feels warm and lush
your naked body
such a rush

They came to eat
they had their fill
stuffed their faces
and paid the bill

That's how it goes
when you pretend
the truth delayed
until the end

I feel the sunshine
my thoughts sublime
salubrious meaning
a delightful time

There I go
drained another beer
My tab is paid
my departure near

Woodland Sunflower

Mrs Smith
Woodland Sunflower
ray flower yellow
pale white beneath
seed for sparrow and finches
Your voice to my ear
crackling fire
warm like the sun
gift of light
Gazing beyond
wind rustled leaves
perennial native
Helianthus

Dancers

Dancers, they sit
after the show
like motion halted
unlike the dance
The moves they made
on pizza and beer
left the saut de chat
the arabesque
and soubresaut
on stage as ghosts

Four Liners From The Deck

To you
to me
to us
to we

There are things
about our past
the future holds
some won't last

As we renew
as we digress
as we specify
as we profess

She's a mystery
who sent her here?
I love her dearly
I want her near

Met a girly
who isn't Jenny
that's my name
hers is unknown

I love beer
like it's a lover
take the top off
to discover

I am sexy
so they say
do believe them
have your way

The clouds rolled by
the Sun was hidden
the people lingered
over thoughts forbidden

Meet you
eat you
fuck you
love you

If you're the paper
and I'm the pen
will write upon you
until you say when

She caught my eye
I saw her bling
she glared at me
I don't care

He planted a wet one
upon my cheek
asked if married
I lied, I'm weak

I want to think
about the past
of things we had
of things that last

I drink beer
upon this deck
write these poems
what the heck

Now I know
and so it goes
my beer is empty
that fucking blows

Beach Day Four liners

If you're the beginning
and I'm the end
Let's start with you
and I'll pretend

I opened the door
and there you stood
looking fine
as I knew you would

I want to know
about the time
when I didn't know you
when you weren't mine

If I'm the bag
and you're the stuff
fill me up
I hold enough

I locked my bike
to the pole
Peace of mind
it plays a role

I drank a beer
and watched the shore
I thought of you
and wanted more

You paddled by
around the moat
You went in circles
I didn't gloat

The sun is hot
though I am warm
My heart pumps blood
that explains everything

I remember
about the time
you were with me
the thought sublime

What If

What if our eyes
met on the horizon?
An edge
of wetness, subtle
and sweet
The wind extends
its reach
beyond boundaries
curved to blow 'round
as our eyes meet

When You Laugh

When you laugh
you love yourself
When you make me laugh
I love you, too

Thursday, July 1, 2010

Oh Today III (four liners)

I miss Jimmy
Cass and John
MJ, George
and Janis gone

I am here
on the deck
so are you
you want to neck?

A gentle breeze
the sun shines on
our thoughts contrived
until far gone

I saw people
walking by
waving hands
to say good bye

I'm a thinker
and a tinker
I'm a winker
and a blinker

Hipsters
ripsters
lipsters
nipsters

I love you
Oh big deal
You'll be gone
and time will steal

I like beer
in this heat
I'll drink one
then repeat

The deck table
has an umbrella
to block the sun
and cool the fella

That I want you
is so clear
You're delightful
I want you near

Oh Today II (four liners)

I will sin
to the radio
you won't like it
you'll change the channel

I saw a cowboy
in a hat
he had swagger
which confused me

I love my watch
which tells time
beyond that
it has no purpose

Love the one
you are with
CSN sang
such a gift

I saw your dick
I saw your pussy
I can't decide
show me mercy

you are mine
to approach
to say nice things
 above reproach

I love the wind
and the sun
you are here
bring on the fun

I love the foam
that lined my mouth
I swallowed deep
the beer went south

I am sure
my beer is empty
the wind blew
my cup away

If they don't know
what I am saying
Then I need to
use more words

Oh Today I (four liners)

I rode my bike
to meet my friend
we ate our fill
did not pretend

My beer is empty
I want service
Please bring more
You make me nervous

not really

I asked her
to turn it up
the music's fine
the wind abrupt

I saw a cloud
was but a puff
of fluffy white
and empty stuff

I reached out
my hand to birdie
my finger to perch
I'm no Dr. Doolittle

If you're the driver
and I'm the truck
I'll slow down
I'm no fuck

Some beer spilled
onto the chair
looked like urine
pooling there

I met my friend
he is cool
he defends
He's a jewel

So bizarre
just one cloud
heat source there
not too loud

I saw a bug
drink from a pool
it was beer
the bug staggered

She walked by
and didn't look
not at my smile
nor at my nook

Laura Mercurio Ebohon

   For Laura ME

I went to the beach
to read your poetry
with my back to you
east facing west
to know more time
will come to us

I want to hold
my hand
so happy at the beach
beautiful strangers
children remind me
of childhood. mine
my days at the beach
The water smells sweet

I opened a beer
thought of Ruth Gordon
random conversations
overheard
a microscopic spider
fell or blew onto me
soon, gently obliterated
I didn't mean to

I held your book
I felt your pages
and your words
rose up to greet me
with heart-shaped sounds
and meaning

More Four Lines at a time

If I'm the path
and you're the bike
ride along
or take a hike

If I could gather
all my tweeps
in one room
would lock for keeps

A cute guy
smiled at me
with teeth and lips
so I would see

If you're the pore
and I'm the sweat
I will glisten
you'll look wet

Let me say
that you are grand
so unique
and in demand

A cute girl
smiled my way
with winks and nods
I'll call her Gaye

I saw a bee
rub all about
then take flight
spreads pollen out

If you're the promise
and I'm the deed
say your peace
for me to heed

Oh sweet lover
you're in bed
I'll tuck you in
and give you head

Four Lines at a time

If I'm the deck
and you're the chair
sit upon me
I won't care

She is cute
she likes country
that's okay
she is cute

All the oil
oozing from the Earth
A nasty hole
with mighty girth

I like Stella
it's a beer
cool and crisp
bring it here

The beer is cold
the beer is good
the beer is ready
and drink I should

She wore boots
instead of flats
kicky and sexy
where it's at

If I'm the sky
and you're the clouds
roll on in
make me proud

Did you read it?
I need to know
Did you get it?
Did you grow?

If apes and man
are not related
that's good news
would you like a banana?

here's what I want
please come near
truth is painful
so is fear

She'd rather text
with him in sight
then talk about it
during his fright

He is cute
and so is she
Her pink hair
doesn't matter

Oh the locals
were acting silly
I joined in
I'm not chilly

They don't get a table
until I go
I will leave
I'm no asshole

Four Line - Jenny lines

Delicious dishes
making wishes
for lots and lots
of gushy kisses

If you're the soap
and I'm the dirt
rub around me
we will flirt

Four Line - Jenny Poems 12

Windy times
blow about
the hats and hair
of those in doubt

Mired deep
in drudgery sleep
through REM to reap
the mind to keep

You're the patron
I'm the stool
sit upon me
so I may fool

And oh with that
I won't compete
I won't digress
I won't repeat

I'm too much
I must admit
I carried on
I threw a fit

You're the speed bump
I'm the issue
ride over slowly
bring a tissue

On the path
I saw a turtle
before I left
I named her Myrtle

I like the grass
up to my ass
no I don't
that would tickle

War is bad
while sex is good
guns are blazing
you give wood

If in the end
you still don't know
it's too late
you have to go

Four Line - Jenny Poems 11

I know a way
to find the treasure
look around
and notice pleasure

If you're the drum
and I'm the skin
pull me tight
and we'll begin

At the end
of this week
I'll see my friend
I may freak

I dislike
the day to come
no time to play
no time for rum

I like your boots
and your pussy
what's the problem
you showed them to me

I want to know
about the best
how we contrive
how we contest

I like the fact
that I am known
as one who loves
as one who's prone

Ugh and wat
and huh and wuts
If you speak
they'll think you're nuts

Four Line Jenny Poems #10

I have to say
you did your part
to not confuse
or break the art

The full Moon rises
without a doubt
the Earth moves slowly
the Moon doesn't care

I can know
about the news
when we engage
no one will lose

I have lovers
lots of them
they make me smile
they lift my hem

As we move forward
to forget the past
our bad memories
will never last

My watch keeps time
But I am late
A lesson learned
I missed the date

Oh sunshine
oh daisy
oh blooming
like crazy

I felt you up
you went down
our lips connect
our time profound

Once I knew
a guy named Larry
He dumped me
for a guy named Harry

That was too easy
I must admit
Like smiles and laughter
When we commit

Of all the sheep
that like to wallow
through shearing lanes
nice wool to follow

All the bodies
born on Earth
The countless billions
who shared in mirth

Four Line Jenny Poems #9

I want to laugh
and make merry
no time for doubt
the look is scary

I saw this guy
reminded me of Clarke
with a demeanor fine
I would do him

I love my jokes
with all the flurry
of one who stokes
thoughts not dreary

If I'm the sweat
and you're the drip
down my face
you will slip

If you're the pen
and I'm the ink
spell some words
to make them think

When we begin
to never end
our hearts entwined
our love will blend

If we pretend
we are happy
some will think
that we are sappy

If you get burned
by the sun
you fucked up
you ruined your fun

If you're the tea
and I'm the cup
lift to my lips
I'll sip you up

If you're the watch
and I'm the time
I'll keep you wound
you'll be sublime

I cannot wait
until you leave
I'll miss you dearly
a tale to weave

I ate meat
you ate salad
I ate protein
you didn't

Will write one more
before I go
my beer is empty
I'm sad to know

Four Line Jenny Poems #8

The river flows
sometimes down stream
with ebbs and flows
like morning dreams

I hate cigarettes
with all my passion
you smoke anyway
dumbass

I like beer
you like wine
I am happy
at times you whine

If we travel
out the door
we'll see plenty
we'll see more

You wear purple
to entice
I wear blue
because it's nice

Shift your weight
upon the sand
you'll sink in
impressions grand

When we mingle
with the strangers
all inhibitions
succumb to dangers

Some guys are fags
and they hate women
too bad for them
this won't rhyme

When we show up
to make the scene
our hearts are full
our makeup clean

She cut my hair
it fell to the floor
afraid to look
I'll grow more

Four Line Jenny Poems #7

If you knew
how to dance
We could have
a nice romance

I am mild
you can tell
I am wild
under your spell

When you hate
I relate
to peace of mind
of those so kind

If you kiss me
I'll hold still
I won't wiggle
against your will

If you're a beer
and have no head
will drink you anyway
the beer's not dead

I reached out to you
you bit my hand
this won't rhyme
you asshole

As my pen
ran out of ink
My beer ran empty
made me think

Four Line Jenny Poems another round

Only words
can cause a fuss
Just don't listen
I want to cuss

You're the menu
I'm the dish
Make a selection
I'm delish

I'll keep checking
back with you
I'll ask your meaning
until I'm through

If you kiss me
when I look
Will you tease me
when I cook?

Pretty girls
drive me wild
No will to kiss
I'm too mild

Hunky guys
drive me crazy
want to kiss them
I'm too lazy

I am lost
I am able
I am sauced
I am stable

I used to know
I used to care
That I am worth it
that I had flair

There's no place
for me to work
I want to die
I'm such a jerk

I am worried
about my life
I need a mother
I need a wife

I'm the glass
and you're the beer
Fill me up
I'll share the cheer

If you're the boat
and I'm the lake
Skim across me
and I will quake

I watched the loons
and watched your face
I saw your smiles
full of grace

Surfer

A surfer runs
to jump the sea
down beach paths
to waves waiting

The buoyant board
positioned for mounting
a wall of energy
Paddle with verve
Rise up and ride
bending, twisting, balance

Synonymous surfer wave
along comes another
running the sea

Four Line Jenny Poems more...

I need to know
about your hair
WTF
Don't you care?

I've observed
that you are cool
You furl your brow
that look will rule

I'll take a shot
if you are hot
if you're not
I'll take one anyway

If you like me
I'll like you more
If you hate me
go fuck yourself

I parked my bike
under a light
when I returned
the site was bright

If you're the door
and I'm the mat
Wipe your feet
like I am flat

You wear a ring
goes round and round
Upon your finger
your life is bound

If I'm the shot glass
and you're the liquor
Fill me up
you'll come quicker

If I'm the boobs
and you're the bra
Wrap around me
I'm in awe

If you're the ball
and I'm the bat
I'll hit you far
Count on that

No one cares
that you know
I am luscious
and you blow

If I'm the foot
and you're the shoe
if you're a slip on
I'll fit you

Be bawdy
Be luscious
Be naughty
Be raucous

I'm at the bar
a group came in
I heard him say
we must squeeze in

Fourteen are here
fourteen are near
I can see
We need keg beer

I'll let you know
if I'm in trouble
I'll need you here
on the double

Four Line Jenny Poems more of them

When you decide
That I am worthy
Call me up
I won't act surly

My name is Jenny
Yours is Tim
Some days I think
I'll call you Jim

If I am right
And you are wrong
I’ll climb a tree
And sing a song

You are rich
I am poor
I’m no bitch
You have more

I’m a boat
You’re a ship
I am humble
You are flip

You’re the shoes
I’m the socks
We go stepping
Drinking Bocks

All the doubts
All the worries
Hit me up
And make things blurry

If I’m the pants
And you’re the shirt
Zip me up
So we can flirt

You say yes
I say maybe
You say no
I say date me

I like my bike
You like your rifle
If you shoot me
You’re sure to stifle

I see my legs
Are looking hairy
Winter is long
The look is scary

I like flowers
In the wild
I like writing
First person mild

I saw a face
Upon the moon
It had no race
The month was June

I saw a cloud
Looked like a fish
You shrieked loud
I made a wish

I have boobies
You have moobies
Yours are hairy
Put a shirt on

When I was young
I had kittens
That’s not true
I just had mittens

10 Movie Facts About Me

Per my request, I was tagged by @loripop326 http://shesawake.com/2010/04/10-movie-facts-about-me/ to spew 10 Movie Facts About Me

10 Movie Facts About Me

1. I see few films; I am so far behind it is embarrassing (but really, who the fuck cares? This post is just for fun). I enjoy movies on the big screen, but would rather play outside. Plus, I don't have discretionary funds to support my desire to attend. ugh. I saw ALICE IN WONDERLAND, this year. Before that, was JULIE/JULIA and before that, BORAT. ...enough said, except to say, I liked them and was rather entertained.

2. The most influential film on my life is MONTY PYTHON and the HOLY GRAIL. I honed my disdain for organized religion and grew a strong belief in the separation of church and state. I have seen this film a couple dozen times, maybe more. Because of the British accent, the first dozen viewings was to listen and hear what the fuck was being said. Beyond that, I enjoy this film because it is so hilarious to me, that I laugh through every scene, every time. This is my favorite film. I often annoy or amuse my friends when I recite lines from this movie, when I deem pertinent to the conversation.

3. I miss Gilda Radner. GILDA LIVE is an awesome film of a live performance of Gilda's strong characters. This film amuses me each time I see it and makes me cry, because I miss her talent and because of the song at the end when she sings, "Honey" (Kiss Me With Your Clothes On). Also, "Let's Talk Dirty To The Animals" is fucking hilarious, to me. "Fuck you Mr. Bunny. Eat shit, Mr. Fox. Tell a chicken, suck my dick and give him chicken pox." Oh come on, you know that is funny. I love this film!!

4. HAROLD and MAUDE. Oh fuck, I love this film for the irony, the social messages, the humor, the angst and the sound track. Ruth Gordon, oh my! I miss Ruth Gordon. When she sings Cat Stevens, “If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out,” I sing and dance along, and copy her hand gestures. I want to go out like Maude does in this film.

5. THE SOUND of MUSIC. I love the music, comedy (despite the serious story of those awful Nazi people), and the cinematography. I have seen this film many times over my life time. I will watch it again. "But it doesn't mean anything." This is my favorite line in the film.

6. THE WIZARD OF OZ. You know, everyone likes this film. The witch still freaks me out, but I feel angst and admiration for Margaret Hamilton, having to play such a role and wear that awful witch make up. Once I tweeted with others throughout this film when it was on TV. That was so amusing to me. We comforted each other during the scary scenes.

7. HIGH FIDELITY is another favorite film. John Cusack, I love his work and I have a thing for him, which has lasted since the mid 80's. The story is worthy, the characters are entertaining. Jack Black's character is a pain in the ass, but it moves the story along. The soundtrack fits well and is one I listen to, still. And, it is a love story. And Oh, LOVE STORY is another love story movie I love.

8. UP IN SMOKE. Oh, hahahahahhahhhhaaa Yes. I love this film too. It had a timely influence on my youth. I also still enjoy the sound track.

9. SHORT CUTS. Robert Altman was a genius working with other brilliant people to create this film. The story, ensemble cast and sound track entertain me. The twist at the end, the perversion, the violence, the angst throughout this comedy, sticks inside my head of how not to behave. Not like I behave like any of these characters in any way, but it is a reminder none the less. The story is over the top, but then again, some people are so fucked up. Also, Raymond Carver is a favored author and Short Cuts is based on his writings.

10. I do not own a DVD player. I'm not proud, just poor. So, as I dug through my VHS bin, CORINA CORINA, WATERWORLD, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and WILLOW jump out as four films I enjoy, that entertain, make me laugh and feel something. And, those are reasons enough to watch these films, these movies, again and again.

Unemployed

“Not to decide is to decide.” - Harvey Cox

I want to work, really I do.

I want to be in charge, but they won’t let me.

I like not working, it just doesn’t pay well.

I’m a free spirit in search of a job thingy.

I’ve learned only what it is I don’t want to do.

I don’t want another dead end job.

I have a challenge finding work since I don't like the way that it works.

I’ve been fired so many times, I don’t want to work.

I have done every job possible, given my limited skill set.

I should work for myself. Doing what? Everyone is already doing everything.

I’m coasting, making wishes.

I wish my wish list wasn’t so long…

I’m about to lose the best gig I ever had (unemployment).

I give up
the end is near
Can't find a job
to save my rear

more Four line Jenny Poems

You have to wait
You must not worry
I'm running late
I'm in no hurry

I am wild
I confess
You are freaky
You digress

I am able
You are Mable
We have dinner
At your table

I'll bring foil
You bring paste
We'll build our dreams
Upon the waste

The table is yellow
The chairs are white
The beer is amber
The colors are light

You lift my spirit
I give you shit
You want my soup
I let you sit

I have a big butt
Thanks to Dad
My eyes are blue
Tho, I'm no Ladd

If I'm an apple
and you're a peach
I'll peel your grape
to appease your reach

I lift you up
You drop me under
You pull me down
I push you over

Are you smarter
than the hype?
I'll give you info
the story's ripe

I give up
the end is near
Can't find a job
to save my rear

I want to know
how we exist
I want to blow
You can't resist

Morning

Morning is the time of day
to get stuff done, sleep in or goof off
Mourning is the time I spend
feeling sadness over something I cannot change
I'm in mourning every morning
when I don't want to get off my bed, but must

Four line Jenny poems

Never the coach
Never the mentor
Ever the athlete
Ever the inventor

We stroke each other
We are bright
We are nervous
We delight

I can love you
I can write
You can love me
With all your light

I can’t find you
If you hide
I can’t want you
If you guide

We can balance
We can ride
We can dance
We can slide

I like beer
You like rye
I will try yours
You will comply

If you doubt me
I will listen
If you question
I will glisten

I will dust
If you mop
I will love you
If you flop

The music moves us
Silence removes us
Bird songs intrigue us
Our voice relieves us

Fuck is good
Cunt is confusing
Shit is bad
Is there a point? To this?

Some jokes I do for you
And some I do for me
What I do for you
I do for me

I want more
You want less
You want someone
I want Tess

I don’t care
You know that
I risk freedom
You can’t bat

We’re getting close
The edge is near
We have no map
The ledge is fear

I can tell you
The beer is fresh
We trust garlic
For our flesh

You fold your hands
I told a story
You question sands
I told you glory

Kiss me now
Kiss me later
I am willing
To be your waiter

Dance of a Kiss

Swimming through cattails
by the light of the moon
she glides into my bay
on waves of bliss
Her watering cans
hand felt, as tender
to eyes leering true
A twisting motion
the dance floats my torso
arched, open in time
Free flowing strands
cascade, then brushed aside
reveal lips willing to speak
silenced by kisses

Bubbles

Soft whiskers seduce
and soothe like bubbles
Bubbles in a jet-bath
Jacuzzi
in beer, quenching desire
Whiskers brushed against my neck
is sure to pleasure me like bubbles

If You Fall

If you fall
and hurt yourself
I'll pick you up
and kiss your pain
If you fall
and are not hurt
I'll laugh really hard
yet, help you up

Distance

When words replace action
music holds us like lovers

an approach without footprints
a reach without touch

how new to my heart
the distance dissolved

you're further away than a dream

A Very Short Story Of My Life or Yours

I think of all the women who ever gave birth.
I think of my own mother.

"A woman is her Mother" Sylvia Plath

My birth date is also my Mother's
The day she gave birth
Thank you Mom. I love you

I was born on this date
Eventually, I learned to walk, swim and ride a bicycle
Then I went to school for many years
I met a lot of people along the way

As you came along, I wanted more

you are life

Purpose

What is our purpose?

...to amuse and be amused
to be kind, loving and free in thought
to bring peace to a stranger and familiar alike
to work, play and create.

Yes? I think so.

Writer

A writer thinks about writing and writes
Sometimes a writer, she writes in her tights
Sometimes she wears nothing at all
sometimes she writes relaxed in the hall

A writer thinks about writing and writes
about news, events and all peoples' rights
With over six billion people living on Earth
I'll think of the words that rhyme with girth

A writer thinks about writing and writes
The wind blows through the long winter nights
Your arms around me, what can we do?
Remember your name and write about You

For You

I miss my mom
you as well
in different ways
Sweets, you live
Maybe in our next life
we will return
you as the tree, me as the nut?
Standing tall, deeply rooted
Your strength holds many branches
Either I will be picked for use
or dry up and blow away naturally
Naturally in this life, altered by friendship
deep in the woods
longing for hard winds

Oh-Oh

I keep your message
in my wallet, holding it near
I did edit the spelling
and a few words, but none
of the punctuation or energy
When things get dull
I read it again and fly away

SHADOWS

I see shadows
over my shoes
from old news
Essence lingers
If you must be gone
return free
like a butterfly
in that poem
Light anew to trust
casting raw color
o'dulcet mystique

Book

I sat outside the library
reading a book
purchased across the street
City noise surrounds me
People and motors moving in synch
to keep from bumping together
The wind mixes chirping birds
and a crazy guy yelling at the sky
Watching, listening, learning
I am commotion too

Contact

Contact

Sweet energy of friendship
pressed between wax paper
as a flower sustained
desiring preservation
I could use the word love
careful not to be trite or cavalier
freedom in choice
freedom in trust
peace in knowing we may meet again

Kept On Ice

Putting off the inevitable, leaving for home
land of 10,000 frozen lakes and hearts
let's stay on this park bench
at the edge of the sea, watching the people
watch the surfers watch for the next ride

Another wave rolls in
crashing against your judgement
I wait to look into my eyes with yours
to see what we both need to know
your mouth forms into a question on my face
then disappointment in our hearts
I bring out the worst in you

Cool breeze over my neck
the sunshine warms my hair
only music drowns out the growl of the sea
nothing alters your sound in my head
my heart remains open
I put my arms around you to hold me
to say good bye

A short Love Story

"And I look forward to nurturing a friendship with you, lovely Jenny."

"Listen to me, because this is the LAST time I will ever acknowledge your existence.... "

When pleasure turns to angst, You win and we both lose.

You'll never again
know a girl like me
That's what I wanted to say
I was instantly attracted
and never let go
She was gone, and
the music played on
like dandelions strung together

Long Ago a short story

A long time ago I was in love with Clarke and Alberto, with Kelly, Mike and Patrick. Where did they all go? One moved East and designed a world class sail for the ship that won the America's Cup. One followed his wanderlust back to his native Cuba. One met adventure rescuing humans and one died from a serious jolt of electricity. And the last one? I don't know.

What happened to me? All of them.

Trapped a short story

I have a mouse in my car.
The evidence
is shredded aluminum foil
from a sandwich wrapper
I threw on the floor.
She told me to set a trap.
The thought of killing the critter
disturbs me. She said I can do it.

She was long ago desensitized
to such adventures, living among mountain lion,
bear, skunk and mice.
Between traps and cats,
her mouse patrol has command.
She said, "One time a mouse was caught
by his foot, left dragging the trap around."
She emptied the trap outside
then watched the mouse go in circles
before disappearing into the brush.

I have a city mouse.
It travels around town with me.
I have not seen the mouse.
What if I do while driving?
Will I scream and crash?
What if it dies in the trap?
What if it is caught and does not die?
Do I go to the full service gas station
to have it removed? Do I ask the attendant
to check my fluids and the trap?
My life is so stupid.
Still, I better get a trap.

Before the RNC Came to Town a short story

Months before the RNC descended upon the Twin Cities, the local news reported all the might of both public and private militias would be in force and ready for the political convention. The story further noted, the local police are well trained and remain on high alert for anti-GOP/GWB elements.

The county Sheriff pulled in behind me as I drove forward from a stop, through the last green light in town. He tailed me for ten miles, then turned on his red lights and pulled me over.

The only vehicle in front of me drove 50 mph in a 55 mph zone the whole way. I followed at a safe distance, minding the mandatory, painted dots from a state highway project that happened to be on that stretch of highway.

At the nearest edge of the next town, he pulled me over, and a lengthy parade of cars passed by, each gawking, no. leering at me with disgust. Like it was my fucking fault the van in front of me was traveling at 50 mph or that a cop was following me. They all could see I had done nothing wrong, for ten fucking miles.

The Sheriff told me he stopped me due to the signs in my rear window and the crack in my windshield. I said, “I can remove the signs, but the windshield is another matter.” He asked for my license and proof of insurance, which I cooperatively provided.

He asked about the crack across the bottom of my windshield and I explained the window frame will not support a new window because of aging body rust on my 20 year old car (which, has since been retired).

He asked where I was going and I answered, “Home from my Dad’s.”

Then he leaned in closer and asked, “What is with those rocks?” I pulled out the first palm sized stone, with a painted picture of a whale, from the coin cubby and showed it to him, explaining it was a gift. I put it back and picked up the other one, which was just a rock, exclaiming, “I found this one; I collect heart shaped rocks!”

His face was inches from mine as he looked into my eyes. Considering I was sober, all he got was a breath of ham and scallop potatoes. Fucker. After deciding I wasn’t a terrible menace, told me to stay in my car as he headed back to his cruiser.

My homemade car signs were taped to the inside of my rear window. One sign read IMPEACH and the other, INDICT. And in between, was a W with the word WRONG underneath. I intentionally put them along the bottom of the window so they would be out of my rear mirror view.

The Sheriff returned, handed back my credentials, and told me to, “Remove the signs and do something about your windshield.” I asked if I should remove the signs now or could it wait until I arrived home? He said it could wait until I was home. Then I asked, “Can it wait until after the election?” He said, “No!” as he chuckled, walked away and let me go.

The Cheesecake is Missing a short story

Along my travels, I stopped into a seaside cafe in a town east of Seattle.  The candles and flowers on the table and the soft music created a cozy feel to the place.

Though they served beer and wine tableside, the food was self serve buffet.  Once I realized that, I rose to serve myself.  At the end of the line, I helped myself to the remaining piece of cheesecake on the dessert tray, then returned to my table.

The meal was fine, I took my time and thought about the day and the next one and about eating that delicious cheesecake.  I noticed the waiter appear at an adjacent table with a tray, offering choices for dessert to another customer.  "We have cherry pie, and apple pie, and chocolate cake and oh!," she paused, "The cheesecake is missing."

The server turned to me, gave a concerned look, removed the cheesecake from the table and said, "Honey, let me bring you a fresh piece."

Apparently, the beer, wine and dessert are served tableside.

My Bicycle a love poem

My longest relationship
ever admitted to
is with my bicycle Schwinn
I sit upon its face
and glide
balanced in delight
peddling
around glistening lakes
through neighborhood parks
along asphalt paths
so fast
breathing hard
An alluring escapade
the wheels are trued
true to my bicycle I ride

WORDS a Jenny poem and a short story

The allure of the social media site known as Twitter, is an open format, which allows the user to express ones thoughts without censor. Oh Twittermachine, you give and take. I'm impressed! I've been on Twitter long enough to have many followers that amuse and entertain me. Some of which find me amusing in return. And fuck, some I simply piss off and they let me have it. Over time, I collected a list of such meaningful words used in reply to my twitter posts (tweets). This ever growing list, to a certain degree, inspired this blog. My favorite word on this list is 'baffling', shared by a twat on Twitter.

Words  a Jenny poem

When words lay down
the way I want them
they feel like lovers
sounding off in syllables
caressing the page
leading me on
rhythmic as mirth
soothing, whimsical and pert

The list: Amusing, awesome, baffling, bat-shit fucking crazy, charming, charmingly weird,  crazy, creative, creepy, cunt, deep, delightful, disturbing, doll, fascinating, flirt, fucker, Fucktard, fun, funny, hilarious, honey, idiot, incorrigible, incredible, insane, intriguing, lovely, lover, lunatic, naughty, nefarious, nerd, nut job, psycho, queer, rascal, sexy, silly, smart, steely, sweet, sweetie, twat, weird, wild, witty and wonderful...

I am both a lover and a wrecker. I can live with that.

And then, Anonymous noted...

Wow, I found this website via a friend on Twitter. I did a read back of your posts and think you might have forgotten a few words.

"Man hater"
"Exaggerator"
"Attention Whore"
"Child"
"Fucked up"

I'm pretty certain you will find a positive spin to put on this because you are "In denial" and "delusional"

As we like to post on Twitter: LMFAO

Beer Purchase a short story

I carried my beer purchase to the counter and greeted the cashier, "Hola."  He replied in Spanish, which I didn't understand and I said, "I don't speak Spanish."  He just looked at me and rang up my tab.  "No really, I know a few words, but I'm not fluent."  I kept babbling, "How are you, bien?"  He said, "Bien" and explained that it was the same reply in Italian.  I said, "Mui bien, gracias" using the few words I thought I knew.  As I signed my ticket I mumbled on, "Cerveza, por favor, then after I have a few of these I ask, "El banyo, por favor?"  He grunted a little, glaring at me.

He handed me the receipt, still with a straight face and I said, "Grasias. Adios!"  He said, "Adios."  I said, "Adios muchachos."  He finally chuckled as I walked out the door.

No, I cannot spell in Spanish either.  But I thought the encounter was amusing.
